A few months ago, a young family in Mt. Juliet had some minor flood damage in their finished basement. Then they noticed that while at home, the family experienced deep congestion, headaches, stiff joints, and general grogginess. But, when they spent extended periods away or went on vacation, their symptoms disappeared. They began to suspect that their health issues were linked to visible mold that was growing along the baseboards in the basement where the flood water was. Testing confirmed the presence of Stachybotrys (black mold), a dangerous toxic mold that requires immediate attention when found so we performed our whole-home sterilization treatment right away.
Because the water issue had been fixed and the basement was dry, we treated the home right away and got the following results.
Post-treatment tests showed that the mold had been completely denatured and no longer posed a threat to the family. Now, just a few weeks out from treatment, the family’s symptoms have cleared up, and they’re feeling much healthier at home.
