A pastor and his wife in Spring Hill, TN constantly felt under the weather at home, to the point that they traveled frequently just to escape it. They turned to the help of a local functional medicine doctor who quickly identified the root of the problem to be mold. The doctor recommended that we go inspect and test. We found standing water in their crawl space and these are the test results. This is a tabular test without outdoor comparison but you can see the before on the left and the after on the right:
The big concern here is Stachybotrys aka “black mold.” Stachybotrys typically grows from a sewage water event that was not properly cleaned. If you see even a few spores of Stachybotrys it needs to be addressed right away. Needless to say, this test was a major cause for alarm.
We helped the couple develop a plan to dry the home out including a sump pump and dehumidifier in the crawl space.
As soon as that work was done we performed our whole home dry fog treatment.
You’ll notice in the after test the mold has returned back to normal levels and we are happy to report that their health is also back to normal.
